I am sure these bars are comfortable however they would look stupid (not in a good way) on my 2001 Road King Classic. Detachable windshield on or off.

Let me get this. I am going to pay a premium for a bike with a fairing ,for the wind protection. Then put handle bars on that raise my hands and arms into the wind. ??????????

cyclerecker Many folks do, especially ones with an aftermarket (easily detachable) fairing. You’d be surprised, apparently, at how much wind a full batwing takes off of your hands and forearms even with taller bars. Then there’s the ride when you take off the fairing-no smoother (no turbulence) ride in the world than a shoulder-high apes and no shield. The laminar flow is undisturbed by anything but your fists until it hits your face. I can wear granny glasses like John Lennon’s at highway speeds without tearing, and you don’t have to worry about a beard or sweatshirt strings playing with your face like on many baggers. Junebugs are a problem, though. They aren’t playing 😉
