Bonhams Hits $2.86 Million At Vegas Motorcycle Auction. Led by the record-setting 1951 Vincent Black Lightning, Bonhams annual Las Vegas motorcycle auction posted $2.86 million in sales and a 75 percent sell-through rate. The Black Lightning sold at the Rio hotel and casino for $929,000, the most ever paid at auction for a collector motorcycle. It was the bike on which Jack Ehret of Australia set a speed record of 141.5 mph in 1953. Other highlights of the auction included a 1939 Brough Superior SS80 selling for $120,500 (prices include buyer’s fees), a 1955 Vincent Black Prince going for $104,650 and a 1950 Vincent Rapide C selling for $92,000.

Giovanni Castiglioni, MV Agusta President, said “This transaction with ComSar Invest through a capital increase and the acquisition of the 25% shares previously held by Mercedes represents an important milestone in our recovery plan”. AMG Mercedes bought 25% stake of MV Agusta in 2014. In March 2016 the company filed for bamkruptcy and Mercedes decided to no more financially support the losses the business was incurring.

During The Super Bowl Weekend Polaris Slingshot Will Be Featured At The 2018 Maxim Party Happening Saturday, Feb. 3. Polaris will showcase some of its latest Slingshot models and allow party goers to take photos alongside the vehicles. Last summer, Maxim partnered with Indian Motorcycle, Polaris’ classic motorcycle division, an after party at Aria during the X Games in Minneapolis. That event saw the unveiling of the Indian Scout Bobber motorcycle. The 2018 Maxim Party will take place at 700 N. 5th St. in Minneapolis, Schaefer Richardson’s redevelopment of the Weather-Rite site in the North Loop, organizers said.

    hopefully Barber will becoming more customer friendly at special events, it’s a nice place but lacks some management skills
