Royal Enfield’s 750cc Bike Rivaling Harley-Davidson Street 750 Likely To Debut At EICMA Show. The parallel twin 750cc engine will be fitted in Continental GT’s double-cradle frame for the new Royal Enfield bike. It is the only a double-cradle frame with Royal Enfield at present that can handle 750cc engine. The parallel-twin 750cc mill is expected to get the fuel-injection system

Polaris Industries Plans To Assemble Indian Motorcycles And Terrain Vehicles In India. Till now, the company had been importing these vehicles from the US for the domestic market. Polaris has a joint venture with Eicher in India that manufactures and markets personal utility vehicle Multix. Whether the motorcycles would be assembled by the joint venture or Polaris is not yet decided. Polaris Industries is also planning to assemble its all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) — also called quad bikes — in India to be more price competitive.

Harley-Davidson Will Be Title Sponsor Of AMA Motorcycle Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony. AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony welcomes Harley-Davidson as title sponsor today Sept. 22 event to be held in conjunction with AIMExpo in Columbus, Ohio. The Class of 2017 includes: FMF Racing founder Don Emler Sr., off-road racing champion Eddie Lojak Sr., world motocross champion and Road 2 Recovery founder Bob Moore, racer and filmmaker Peter Starr and racer, team owner and publisher John Ulrich. They will be honored along with Hall of Famer Bill Werner, now an AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Legend.

    Indians were also made in England by Royal Enfield who now are owned by Eicher who will make the Indian-made-Indians.

    Xenu, Royal Enfield did not make Indian motorcycles!
    They made a Royal Enfield with a Indian tank badge, lots of difference!

    I owned one…. Left side foot brake and right side 4 speed tranny shifter.

    I agree that it was badge engineering, but those bikes were Royal Enfields re-badged by the then legal owner of Indian, Floyd Clymer. The legal rights have changed hands so many times until we now have the Genuine Heritage Indians.

    How was your Enfield? The ones I rode with seemed quick.
