New S&S 465 Performance Cams For Harley Milwaukee-Eight 107″ And 114″ Engines

The next generation of Harley-Davidson® V-Twin engines, the Milwaukee-Eight 107 and 114 intend to bring its Touring line where it never been before. I am talking about overall performance, strength and torque. And of course, faithful to its philosophy of Proven Performance, engineers went further and spent endless hours of dyno and ride time to produce what they believe to be the ideal combo of lift and duration. Result is a new with not only excellent horsepower and torque numbers, but more important in the usual RPM range, making all the extra S&S performance usable by real world riders.

Their new s available in chain or gear drive and S&S states gains of 21hp and 21 ft-lb torque (coupled with S&S intake and exhaust). Cams are compatible with all stock components, but for the cost of the labor to remove and reinstall the stock pushrods, you’ll be money ahead to cut them out and replace them with a set of their new S&S Quickee pushrods for Milwaukee-Eight engines. All available now directly from toll free 866-244-2673 or 608-627-1497, or from your favorite.

    Thanks for the information 🙂

Cost? cams, intake, exhaust, pushrods, dyno tune, and labor. I would check and see if HD Screaming Eagle makes a kit which will still honor warranty.

The dyno sheet is a couple clicks away on the S&S website. From the homepage, click the “Products” tab at the top, then “Camshafts.” The kit is there with a dyno chart. Looks pretty good!

simplicity of a single cam keeps the price low and makes this a great value upgrade! thank you S&S!

Bobby Woods also has had some camshafts out for the M8 for awhile that look pretty impressive on the Fuelmoto dyno. Everybody is playing catch up.

I have heard of the M8 motor having problems with catastrophic failures. Has anyone else? The reason I ask is if the motor is weak in a stock form, won’t it be more likely to fail with added performance?

Jlm – trolls unite. No, dude, no failures on the M8; just as it was a myth on the TC.

Chris- thanks for the heads up. Jim- I have heard nothing of “catastrophic failures”. So without any substantiating evidence I would call BS on those rumors. I will say this from a relatively uneducated view so take this for what it’s worth. I only had a couple years experience with HD before I switched to Victory. I HIGHLY doubt an intake + cams upgrade is stressing an engine. From my (more extensive Vic) experience these mods aren’t so much an upgrade as much as they are putting the motor back to what the engineers had in mind before they had to choke the fueling down to a level that would pass EPA testing. Now super charging a big bore kit with nitrous on top is a different story, but I have a REALLY hard time believing that HD engineering is so substandard that the very best one can expect to reliably get out of the motor is what the competition offers bone stock. If HD did NOT design this motor with future upgrades and enhancements in mind to keep up with the competition then they would have to be dumber than…well let’s not go there.
Let’s leave it at I am far from an HD cheerleader. Yet even I can appreciate the steps in the right direction this motor and these mods represent.

Anyone know when they will be available to purchase?

Bob S, I think you said it all. I had an early TC engine which I modified with a Screaming Eagle off road drag racing big bore kit. I beat the crap out of it for 19 years and never had a mechanical issue with it including the cam chain tensioners. I’m not the biggest HD fan either, but if you choose to go that route stick with the HD engineers.

I just installed the 465c cam, prior to doing so I had Fuelmoto head pipe , screaming eagle intake and Rinehart 4.0 slip ons, with the Fuelmoto tune it ran awesome that way but after installing 465 cams it really works outstanding now ! Well done S&S and thank you Fuelmoto for the awesome tune!
