Winners Of Victory Motorcycles’ Operation Octane Dealer Custom Build Conrest

26 Victory dealers from around the world participated to the Operation Octane custom built contest to create their own interpretations of the light, fast and affordable 2017 Victory Octane. Online voting public has decided the winners. “Evil Ethel” from Strokers Dallas and “Desert Racer” from IWAN-BIKES GmbH pick up 1st place prizes, “King Octane” from Coastal Victory and “Grifter” from Brisan Motorcycles named runner-ups

“Take a mean bike and make it meaner. That’s the vision we had in our mind for our evil Victory Octane that we call Ethel,” North American Champion Strokers Dallas says of  . I featured in details this creation in my website in September. Check it out HERE

North American Runner-Up Coastal Victory says of . “Keeping with the Victory brand tradition, we added fenders from a Victory Kingpin (modified to fit), had our painter (Rusty Nash) add a SIC custom paint job and topped the build off with a Ness Intake and Bassini 2-into-1 Exhaust,”

International Champion IWAN-BIKES GmbH says “ is born from the underground. Special knobby tires, a low handlebar, a metal cooler protection, off-road footrests and a real leather seat make you ready for hard rides”

International Runner-Up Brisan Motorcycles says of  . “Our goal was to create a motorcycle that was still recognizably an Octane, but meaner, leaner and more eye catching than the standard bike. It also needed to sound fantastic, be great fun to ride and turn heads wherever it goes. The resulting build combines a hand-made tail section, repurposed Arrow exhaust with lobster back headers, metallic cherry and graphite paintwork, 18″ Performance Machine wheels and a stance that begs the rider to take the long way home.”

    Nice efforts, every one.

    1, 2 & 4 look very good.

The Grifter is the nicest and cleanest looking bike here. The rear fender on the King Octane is total overkill.

I agree, the Grifter is the best. Second, Evil Ethel.

    Agree Grifter is very sharp

I love those fenders on #2.

Grifter for sure. That is the one I voted for. Almost looks production ready. Just add some wire wheels for visual lightness.

They look like what would happen if someone devoted a bunch of time to customize the Indian Scout. That said, they are all beautiful, and creative motorcycles.

    AGREE – GRIFTER.

For one with half a braincell and the ability to do it – make a bolt-on cowl-type solo-seat for the Polaris Octane.

I am not much moved by the Polaris Victory, but there are a few models that are not bad, bar some serious styling incongruities (it seems the latest iterations are beginning to address it – GOOD!).

The GRIFTER drifts towards the Euro-dragster style and I like it. This is what Harley should have done with the V-Rod and this is what Polaris should do with the Scout/Octane – that btw carries a crib of the 1st gen V-Rod motor.

The Grifter is the winner in my book. Not sure about those wheels, though. King Octane fenders are a non/starter for me.

Great work and all 4 have raised the bar for this Model! if I was getting ready to Buy my First, second, third Bike and was 30 years young this would be on my List of Bikes to Own. How could ANYONE even think about purchasing a Sporty? Great Bike!

Seen the Strokers bike in person .. …. worthy of the win!

    Congrats @Rick Fairless!

All are great but I agree that the Grifter best complements the Octane’s sporty frame and attitude. If Brisan was smart they would sell that fender/seat.

I was one of the builders in operation octane, our bike was “bar-fighter” and with Victorys tagline “modern american muscle” we built a sportbike themed octane.. If anyone is interested me @ for pictures of the build

    Nice work by all.

Much like reading the bible, each one of us can walk away with our own interpretations. After all, cool is in the eye of the beholder…
