Fly Girl. A Pure Scandinavian Chopper.

Minna Heikkinen is from Finland, Gordon Rooth is from Sweden and they state that this bike that they built together is a mix of Finnish and Swedish Chopper style. I am not sure of the difference but I recognize a Scandinavian built chopper as soon as I see one.

Although the long legged American style custom chopper  is running into the sunset overwhelmed by the number of Bobbers (most are in fact short choppers!), “Fly Girl” went to Sturgis to tell every biker that the true tradition of chopper building is well and alive in the North European countries. Classic components include a rigid frame with 5″ backbone stretch and a 45-degree rake, a 20″ extended front end, a set of 21″ front and 18″ rear spoke wheels, a 93″ Harley-Davidson engine (HD Shovelhead cases, STD heads, Panhead style Rocker Boxes), S&S L Carbureor, Morris Magneto, etc. Clean, minimalistic, stripped-down, like most Swedish designs. .
