Don’t confuse the new old school and the original old school bikes. Alan Mayes is the managing editor of The Horse Backstreet Choppers magazine, and few could explain as well as he does the attitude (both innovative & rebellious) behind the original choppers & bobbers. It’s what he does with his new book called . It’s a beautifully illustrated reference to these old machines and to the men who produced them. In the book, 400 pictures of 25 bikes are an excellent source of inspiration for all those who want to recreate the style of the 60’s & 70’s. Alan Mayes also covers the whole history and evolution of bobbers and choppers. Useful, there is also a section giving the reader advice on what to look for in a chopper builder. .
